An adaptation of Milena Agus' eponymous novel set after WWII, "Mal de Pierres" ("Mal di Pietre") spans 20 years, following the destiny of a passionate, free-spirited woman who is in a loveless marriage and falls for another man.

Cempaka, a respected warrior and highly respected in the world of martial is a great holder of lethal weapons, Golden Cane. Cempaka will pass the weapon to one of her students. Murder and betrayal occurs before the martial world know who the heirs. Golden Cane fall into the wrong hands and can not be avoided, chaos ensued. The only person who can help take over the Golden Cane is the White Dragon Warrior, former spouse of Cempaka, which has long disappeared.

Tom and Anna Wright, a young American couple, fall into severe debt while renovating Anna's family home in London. As the couple faces the loss of their dream to have a house and start a family, they discover that the tenant in the apartment below them is dead, and he's left behind a stash of cash—$400,000 worth. Hyeong-Do (So Ji-Sub) is an assassin for a company that masquerades as a metal trading company. One day, he takes on a job partnering with a man Hyun-Yi, who is he is to kill afterwards. In the punk rock era of the late 1970s three restless teenagers, two boys and a girl, spend their time in and out of a special class for problem kids. Jussi seldom sees his parents at home, so he is free to indulge in petty crimes, pranks, and getting drunk with his friend Pete. Reluctantly, Paige braves the snowy road trip with Dylan, joined by Frank and Maxine Harper, an older couple whose 20-year marriage has lost its spark. Along the journey, feelings start to develop between Paige and Dylan. Now, as the young bride-to-be scrambles to make it to New York for Christmas, she begins to wonder if she’s marrying the right man and just might learn a surprising lesson about love.

A family finds itself in a dead-end situation. They are only safe behind the walls of their own house and yard. As time vanishes from their home, the shelter slowly turns into a prison. However, nothing can keep the children from dreaming and yearning to be free and the urge to make a decision seems inevitable.
