With commentary from Hollywood stars, outtakes from his movies and footage from his youth, this documentary looks at Stanley Kubrick's life and films. Director Jan Harlan, Kubrick's brother-in-law and sometime collaborator, interviews heavyweights like Jack Nicholson, Woody Allen and Sydney Pollack, who explain the influence of Kubrick classics like "Dr. Strangelove" and "2001: A Space Odyssey," and how he absorbed visual clues from disposable culture such as television commercials.

When Juliette (Lizzy Caplan) sets out to bring her slain lover -- outlaw Ransom Pride -- home to Texas to be buried, she knows the journey won't be easy, but she has little idea of the dangers that lie ahead in this dark Western drama. The film's cast includes Scott Speedman as the murdered bad boy, Dwight Yoakam as a homicidal reverend, Kris Kristofferson as a rival outlaw, and Jason Priestley and W. Earl Brown as a pair of bounty hunters.

The clumsy and shy Stanley is a nice fellow, beloved by his colleagues in the office. He has a crush on the gorgeous new-hire Diana, but he has difficulties to get close to her. When Stanley finally invites Diana for a date, he hits the homeless Phil with his Taurus, and his planned night turns upside down.

Antero Rousku is a storeman in a paint store. His job requires raw muscle power, mixing paints and carrying house repair materials around to earn his daily bread. But the basic salary is not enough for Rousku. He also sells a lot of stuff on the side from the storeroom directly to Jylhäkorpi, a frequent visitor, bypassing company bookkeeping. Raninen wants to win the main prize but he wants to have the right numbers in exactly the order in which they appear from the lottery machine. Raninen is not the sharpest pencil in the pencil box. Rousku's freedom is threatened by his relationship to the saleswoman Karita. Rousku wants to keep a distance to the woman except in bed. Karita has decided otherwise.

After getting his heart broken by his childhood sweetheart, Tom Campbell escaped from his home town to join the military. Years later, Tom returns home with the news of his grandmother’s failing health and business. A town treasure, Cupid’s is known for its enchanting reputation of guiding guests to find love. Chelsea, the mayor and Tom’s ex-flame, takes advantage of this bad news and devises a scheme to get the property sold to make way for a mall. Although pressured to save the bed and breakfast, Tom’s history of heart break makes it difficult to stand up for such a symbol of love. Sharing in his skepticism of love is Nancy, a new police officer in town. With Nancy’s encouragement, Tom just might make the effort to keep the landmark afloat after all.
